ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Mexico City
Welcome to Mexico, a country rich in Catholic faith and tradition. Upon arrival in Mexico City, depending on your flight time, we will celebrate Mass at a nearby church or at the hotel. Settle in for a peaceful dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe & Tulpetlac
Begin your day exploring the Plaza of Three Cultures, a unique symbol of Mexico’s rich historical layers. Visit the Church of Santiago Tlatelolco, where St. Juan Diego was baptized. Continue to the majestic Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in the world. Spend time reflecting and joining fellow pilgrims in prayer before the sacred tilma of Our Lady.
Day 3: Mexico City – Blessed Miguel Pro & Historic Landmarks
Explore the spiritual legacy of Bl. Miguel Pro, a martyr during the Mexican Revolution, with a visit to the Holy Family Church and his tomb. Afterward, enjoy a tour of Mexico City’s historical center, including the Metropolitan Cathedral, the grand Zócalo square, and a panoramic view of the National Palace.
Day 4: Puebla & San Miguel del Milagro
Leave Mexico City and head to Puebla, stopping at San Miguel del Milagro in Tlaxcala, where St. Michael the Archangel appeared in 1631. In Puebla, marvel at the beauty of the Cathedral and the breathtaking Chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary. Visit the Church of St. Francis of Assisi, home to the incorrupt body of Bl. Sebastian de Aparicio. Enjoy a traditional Mexican lunch and explore Puebla’s vibrant craft market. Return to Mexico City for the night.
Day 5: Guanajuato – Cerro del Cubilete
After breakfast, travel to the iconic Cerro del Cubilete, a monumental site for the Cristero movement. Here, you will celebrate Mass at the feet of the towering Christ the King statue. In the afternoon, explore the colorful streets of Guanajuato, visiting its historic churches and charming plazas, such as the Basilica of Our Lady of Guanajuato.
Day 6: San Juan de los Lagos & San Toribio Romo
Journey to San Juan de los Lagos, Mexico’s second most visited Catholic pilgrimage site, where many miracles have been attributed to the intercession of Our Lady. After celebrating Mass at the Basilica, travel to Santa Ana de Guadalupe to visit the shrine of San Toribio Romo, patron of migrants. End the day in Guadalajara for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7: Sahuayo – St. José Sánchez del Río
Dedicate the morning to St. José Sánchez del Río in Sahuayo, the young Cristero martyr. Celebrate Mass in the Church of St. James, where he was imprisoned, and visit the cemetery where he declared his faith with the words “Viva Cristo Rey!” In the afternoon, return to Guadalajara to visit its Cathedral and the ossuary of 23 Cristero martyrs. Enjoy a tour of the city's historical landmarks.
Day 8: Guadalajara
Spend the day exploring Guadalajara, visiting its grand Cathedral and the surrounding historical sites. Take time to reflect on the deep spiritual and cultural significance of the Cristero martyrs. Enjoy a final group dinner in this vibrant city.
Day 9: Return Home
After breakfast, transfer to Guadalajara's airport for your return flights, carrying with you memories of faith, prayer, and cultural discove
